YYAAYYYY, RESULT ... Called Darren at Talk Talk about 3 o'clock, he said, tut tut, the credit department said they would contact the debt agency yesterday, why haven't they? Hold the line please and I'll check it out ... 5 mins later he came back and said he had sorted it there and then and I didn't owe them a penny ... surprise surprise ... uummm actually I think it's you who owe Lynn money, I will be handing the debt over the a debt collection agency on monday .... I wish! Can't be bothered to argue, I know they owe it, they obviously know they owe it, but I'm just thankful it's over. I called the debt agency at 5 o'clock and they confirmed the debt has been scrubbed. There is the small fact that I now have a small slur on my credit rating, but there's nowt I can do about that. Thank God it's over!
One thing that got me mad today, and I never realised, 0870 numbers, the companies earn money from you calling them. Here's some info that I found whilst doing a search ...The Basic 0870 Telephone Number Range is a simple service that diverts calls to UK Landlines whilst paying YOU (the companies) to receive the calls. Earn between 2p and 4.5p per minute. It actually costs from 4p to 6.7p per minute to call them. Sooo for every 20 minutes that Talk Talk have kept me hanging on the phoneline over the last couple of months, they have earn't about £19.20 in total, well that's something I'm not going to stand for. I will add this to my complaint, the one that I am going to send to everyone, and demand that money back. It wasn't my fault they kept hanging up on me, and that I had to wait for at least 15 minutes on hold before a rep became free. Rant, rant, rant
So quite a successful day, thank God for small mercies. It's been good concerning the ciggie situation, I actually reached over to make a rolly after my tea tonight, I forgot I don't smoke anymore, can't say whether it was a nice realisation or horrible, a bit of both really. It's so good to know I don't stink.
The Paul McKenna, I can make you slim, I'm not so sure, I'm not getting it. I am only eating when hungry, that's the easy part, but I'm supposed to stop eating when I'm not hungry anymore, that's the difficult bit. I can't figure out when I'm not hungry any more, I had a grill fest, I had one sausage and a few beans and strictly speaking after that I wasn't hungry any more, but how can I justify throwing the rest of my dinner away (1 egg, 1 bread, 3 bacon, beans, mushrooms) only to be hungry an hour later cos I didn't eat enough? Chewing food 20 times is also quite difficult, it's all dissolved to a mush by the 10th chew and I have trouble chewing nothing for the next 10. I have only read up briefly his eating plan, I think I will have to look in to it. Anyhow, I'm weighing in at 10st 2lb today, so after two weeks of non smoking I'm pleased with that. I have gone past the eating to replace smoking phase, that was for the first few days. If anyone is reading this and is thinking about quitting the cigs, DO IT, it has its ups and downs, some very highs and very lows, and I'm not caounting my chickens but I feel so GOOOOD, and it really isn't as hard as we all make it out to be, it's easy when it's soemthing YOU really want to do. This is my third quit, so proof that you shouldn't quit quitting, I think this time is the last.
Re-mortgage still isn't sorted, that's another story, should have been sorted 3 months ago but Northern Rock cocked up big style, 4 months from applying for our re-mortgage with them (have always been with them) they still haven't sorted it. It's another load of complaints I have to write out. They have promised the money will be in the bank and cleared by Monday, they haven't worked out that Monday is a bank holiday, thick, thick, thick .... so does that mean cleared tomorrow or Tuesday??
Have got martin some Zinc tablets, read somewhere these can help, fingers crossed they ease it all alittle, don't want to go down the Roaccutane route again, scary stuff. Think that's all, off now to have a quick bath and settle down to watch Vital Signs, wasn't mind blowing last week but enjoyable enough for me to want to watch second part. Has a week really passed by that quick, crikey ....
